What does home sound like to you?
An audio piece made from the voices and sounds of 10 people from the Rottweil district
- Context
- Exhibition “Heimat”, Rottweil district
- Role
- Interviews, editing, composition, post-production
Sound artist Jonas Urbat is originally from Schiltach. He spoke with people who came to or left the Rottweil district, by choice or as refugees. What happens when you leave your home? How do you find a new home, and how do you invite people to feel at home? Can you have more than one home? And what does home actually sound like?
In the audio piece accompanying the exhibition, personal soundscapes and individual perspectives on home come together.
